transfer number two!

Tonight is the premiere of Survivor All Stars: Heroes vs. Villains, and I’m really excited. I’m a little obsessed with reality tv.

I went to school this morning, I had Microbiology. It was so difficult to pay attention because I felt like crap. After class was over, we went to Microbio Lab, and had a quiz on all kinds of parasites…where they came from, their genus/species name, the disease they cause, how you know you have them, etc…did I mention it was all fill in the blank? Well, it was. I think I did alright, though. I’ll let you know. Anyways, after I took the quiz, I left and headed to Patient First in Chesapeake Square. After filling out some paperwork and answering some questions, getting weighed (yikes), and getting my blood pressure done, I was sent to a patient room. Believe it or not, I waited an hour to have the doctor come in there, look in my ears, nose, and at my throat, to have him listen to my heartbeat, and do the flashlight-finger thing to my eyes. After seeing me for about ten minutes, the doctor told me he was going to put me on some meds because I have a sinus infection of the maxillary sinus, which is right above my teeth. Finally, I thought, that’s why my jaw has been hurting, duh. About five or ten minutes after that, he comes back to my room and hands me liquid cough medicine (um, yuck, seriously, I had chill bumps because it was so gross tasting), a box of medicine starting with Z, and a pill bottle (something with Codeine in it). So anyways, I left there, and came home and Mom goes “Have you started taking your medicine yet?” and I said, “Not yet.” And she looked at me crazy, and said “Shoot I would have taken that in the parking lot.” Mom is a firm believer in taking medicine until she feels better, which I agree with. She knows when to stop so that she doesn’t overdose or anything. She’s so funny and I love her so much.

Anyways, after I ate some rice for lunch, I came upstairs and had every intention of starting my study guide for my anatomy quiz on blood tomorrow, but my body had other ideas. I fell asleep from 12:40-2:40. Dead. To. The. World. Sleep. Did I mention that my cough medicine “may cause drowsiness?” Well, it sure did. Didn’t take long for it to kick in, either. Now, it’s like 6 pm, and I’m one question from being done with my review, and writing this blog. I am about an hour and a half from needing more medicine. And yesterday, I used up all the Puffs plus Lotion with Vicks Vapo Rub tissues. :( Those suckers open up my sinuses because of the Vicks. Now I’m just using regular puffs plus. They still work, but my nose hurts so much when I need to blow it. Raw, major.

I better get back to studying, I have to pass this quiz. I can pass this quiz. I will pass this quiz.
