confusion

I'm so confused right now!

Up until I was at Longwood, I wanted to be a teacher. I love kids, and so I figure teaching was the right career for me. After I attended Longwood for one semester, one very long semester, I chose to come home and try nursing. I also love babies, and would love to be a neonatal nurse...Or so I thought. I'm just really confused about what I need to do. I need to pray about it and rely on God to show me where and what He wants me to do.

Lists always help, right? I'll do like a pro/con.

Nursing-Pro's
  1. Working with newborns every day
  2. Patient/nurse rapport.
  3. Good stable paycheck.
  4. Stable job, I know I won't have to worry about cut backs. Newborns are always coming!
  5. Friendships with fellow nurses.
Nursing-Con's
  1. I don't want to stick a baby with a needle.
  2. I get attached really easily, and if one of them were to die, I'd be devastated.
  3. Tough school work.
  4. No breaks.
  5. Ignorant parents who don't know what to do with a baby.
Teaching-Pro's
  1. Teaching kids something they don't know and seeing that lightbulb in their head go off.
  2. Working with the same kids every day, and having a relationship with each one. Let me clarify, a PROFESSIONAL relationship. Just in case someone twists my words...you can never be too safe.
  3. Summer break!
  4. Winter break!
  5. Spring break!
  6. School holidays!
  7. Developing friendships with fellow teachers.
Teaching-Con's
  1. Lower paycheck than nurses.
  2. May have to deal with obnoxious students/parents.
  3. May have cutbacks on school employees.

I don't really know what to do yet, I'll just have to pray and let God take control.
